2025 JRBP Earth Day Cleanup Registration

Celebrate Earth Day by making an impact on our beloved James River and Lake Springfield. Join us for our annual cleanup on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Please choose:

  • Walk the shorelines of Lake Springfield or the James River at Tailwaters Access, Southwood Access, and the Trail of Honor.

  • Float from Crighton to Southwood Access. Experienced floaters only due to debris and low water temperatures. A limited number of canoes are available for reservation or bring your own boat (canoe, kayak, paddleboard, etc.). This stretch is limited to 30 boats.*

  • Paddle Springfield Lake starting at the boathouse. A limited number of canoes are available for reservation or bring your own boat.*

  • Businesses/organizations/school groups wishing to register, please contact Brooke Widmar at brookewidmar@jamesriverbasin.com or 417-380-9625.

  • Earth Day participants should print and signed the event waiver below and bring it with them to the event to help speed-up check-in. Waivers will be available at registration.

*All on-the-water participants will be required to wear a life jacket.
