River Rescue

Saturday in June

Saturday in June

Come be a part of JRBP’s longest running annual event!
River Rescue brings together passionate citizens to clean up our beloved James River. On average, participants remove over 3,000 pounds of trash from the James River each year! Can’t make it in person, but still want to support the cleanup of your local waterways? Make a donation here.

EARTH DAY Cleanup

April 22nd

Each Earth Day, JRBP gathers with groups and individuals to clean-up a stretch of the James River in boats and along the shore-line at Springfield Lake.

It is wonderful to share in the joy of Earth Day, while working collaboratively to clean up our local water.

Sunset Soirée

Saturday in September

Saturday in September

A historic gathering filled with music, silent auction items, Mystery Whiskey & Wine pull, refreshments of beer & wine, & decadent hors d’oeuvres by Gilardi’s Ristorante - all to celebrate our love for our local waterways and the urgency to protect our resources.  Limited tickets available each year.

Member Events

Throughout the Year

We enjoy bringing our community of Individual & Family and Business Members together to converse, learn, enjoy in our rivers, and to make an impact on our local waterways.

Each year JRBP provides our members with: a member float - contests, canoes, and camaraderie, VIP event invites, and great schwag like the James River Explorer's Guide, JRBP member decal, and t-shirts!

Adopt-A-Highway

Spring and Fall

Spring and Fall

The Missouri Department of Transportation recruits groups, businesses, organizations and citizens to volunteer to clean-up local roadways.

At least twice a year, JRBP cleans up a 1-mile stretch of road along Highway M in Nixa, Missouri. Highway M runs over the confluence of the Finley River and James River.
